Come to read what I think?  Read on.

The War

I dont protest against the war, neither do I support it.  What I do support is our administration.  I have faith that they are doing whatever they have to do to ensure Iraqi and American freedom.  I acknowledge the troops, I acknowledge that they are doing their jobs and protecting us, even those of us who come together and spit at them (idiots). I have faith in President Bush, he was voted into office by the majority of America to uphold what we stand for, freedom.

Iraq has had 13 years to disarm and they didnt.  Saddams sons rape women and kill men.  The Iraqi people are living in oppression and fear.  Saddam is a dirty heartless dictator who had has to removed, whatever means necessary.  And as the worlds super power we made it our responsibility.  In ten years when the Iraqis have the right to eat freedom fries and where Nike, they will thank us.  And even if they stick to their own cultures food and apparel, they will still thank us.  And we will have an ally.  We win.

***Please take notice that oil was NOT mentioned, thank you. ***

Thought Id update what I think of the war.  Yep, still think the same thing.  WooHoo, we are winning or so they say....  (No, I am not a freak conspiracy theorist)  Do I think Saddam is dead?  (Good question, self.)  I have no freaking idea.  How would I know?  I havent even been to college yet.  All I know is that we are winning (repeated to emphasize American victory [so far])

Reviews

From Reject to Writer

So I just finished spending hours of my life on the funniest site, www.colinsworld.com.  I suggest that everyone with a funny bone check it out, even those without one because you will magically grow one on this site.  The Colin in colinsworld is Colin Mortensen (he has a last name), author, but you may know him from the Real World Hawaii and Battle of the Sexes.  I first went on the site to look for pictures, but after reading one entry I was hooked.  You might think that Colin is just an idiot pretty boy, but he is so much more.  Hes funny and sarcastic and brilliant.  At first read he may come off a bit big headed but read on and youll see hes just genuine.  What would you talk about?  Seriously, check it out, buy his book (A New Ladies Man), worship him, hes worth it.  Remember--wash your hands after.

All The Pretty Horses

McCarthys writing style is brilliant and unique.  The entire book didnt have quotation marks.  It was hard at first to tell who was talking but I got the hang of it real fast.  There was some serious comical stuff, but I thought the book had WAY too many subplots.  And the main plot (romance between Alejandra and William Grady Cole) was down played.  Ive never seen the movie but the book was OK and well written.  The story wasnt that great but I love McCarthys writing style, so genius.

Choke

Wow.  Chuck Palahniuk is drugged up.  Hes a brilliant, sick, twisted, genius.  The book is about a sexaholic and how he doesnt want to pay for his mothers feeding tube so she can live.  But he cares enough to fake choke on expensive dinners at expensive restaurants and has his heroes pay here and there.  With that money he pays for his mothers hospital care, where he cares.  Its kind of like Catcher in the Rye, new millennium style.  Weird that I liked this one and couldnt stand frickin Holden Caufield.  Well Victor (the main character) is much smarter than dear old Holden.

Catcher in the Rye

I saw The Good Girl (great movie) and Jake Gs character always talks about CITR and its kind of like a classic, I guess.  Why?  I dont know, but I read it and found out that it sucks.  I mean this guy, Holden, is scared of death and accepting of it.  How can you do that?  Be suicidal and scared of dying?  I dont understand it.  At all.  Then the end of the book?  What was that?  (I dont want to give anything away so I wont) It was hard to get really into the book in the beginning but after midway, I just wanted to see if he was going to get home.  I dont understand the relationship with his sister.  I dont understand why he hates people but keeps making conversation with them.  I dont understand why he talks crap about phonies when hes a phonie.  I dont understand it, the whole book; I dont mean to offend anyone who loves this or anything.  But what a psychopath.  Of course the second I found his brother died I knew that was his problem.  It was all psychological and deep.  Man I did not find this satisfying.  What a horrible way to end an all right book.

Nicholas Sparks, love god

A Walk to Remember, Message in a Bottle, A Bend in the Road.  WOW.  Sparks knows how to write love stories.  Message in a Bottle is my favorite but the movie kind of ruined it for me.  Kevin Costner was GREAT as Garret but Robin Wright Penn was horrible.  She wouldve ruined the movie if it wasnt for Costner.  In the movie, they made her character god-awful.  Its so disturbing how horrible they made her.  But the book, I cried and cried.  Im sorry Im trying but I cannot get over how much Penn ruined the movie for me.  Man she was horrible.

A Bend in the Road was great.  It kind of followed the same lines.  Widowed man meets divorced female who hides secret from him.  And theres that kid involved.  But Sparks make the stories and loves so different and unique, and you fall in love with his characters.

A Walk to Remember, I read the book but dont remember.  The movie was good.  I loved how he made you believe that despite the fact that Landon and Jaime are so young and still in h.s. you still believe in their love.  It is so sweet and romantic and all that February 14th talk.

What were they thinking casting Jenny as Theresa.  Talk about messing up.  Sorry, last time I swear.

American Idol

Brilliant.  Im absolutely obsessed.  In Entertainment Weekly one of their reporters commented that Ruben and Clay would be top 2 and that everyone else is fighting for third.  Ha, ha, its funny because its true.  Clay Aiken is definitely my favorite.  I love his cute Southern accent and the boy can sing.  Im so glad Julia Demato got voted off, and I cant wait until Carmen whatever leaves.  I love Simon because he speaks his mind and dont lie or butter things up.  Paula gets on my nerves, and Randys OK.  Ryan Seacrest is HOT.  But his wardrobe and sexual preference are questionable.
